Membership

How TVS membership works:

 

  1. You must Sign Up to become a member; there is no cost for this. However, there is a membership & confidentiality agreement that you need to review and agree to before you can use the Service. TVS must establish your Identity and your permissible purpose for obtaining Consumer information.
  2. For Consumer Credit Reports you must provide documents as per the membership application confirming rental property ownership and documents that identify who you are before the account can be activated.
    NOTICE: TVS requires documentation in Compliance with Credit Bureau Policy.
  3. For Criminal + Eviction + Application Verification Reports: You are only required to complete the membership agreement and the questionnaire that follows. We still need to establish your identity, but you ARE NOT required to submit documents for these reports as in #2. Your account can be activated immediately during business hours.

    Please see below which documents are required from you:


    Landlord

    Landlord membership  available at Tenant Verification Service 1. Current telephone or cellular bill. MUST be current and list your name, current residence, and the phone number listed on your application (check our FAQs for exceptions).
    2. Proof of identification (valid driver's license or Passport)
    3. Proof of ownership for the rental property. This can be EITHER the current property tax record or the current insurance policy for the rental property.
    4. A completed and signed copy of a rental application or agreement for each rental property you own.

    NOTE: Proof of ownership must be sent in for every property you own.

    IMPORTANT: If your residence and rental property address are the same, you must send in a document that shows proof that it is a multi-unit dwelling or you must send a document showing that you will be moving to a new residence.

    Realtor

    Realtor membership available at Tenant Verification Service 1. A minimum of 3 completed and signed rental applications.
    2. A signed list of all apartment complexes and/or properties being managed.  This list must include the apartment/property name and contact name, address and phone number.
    3. Copy of a valid Real Estate License
    4. Clear copy of a valid driver's license or Passport
    5. Current telephone or cellular bill. MUST be current and list your name, current residence, and the phone number listed on your application (check our FAQs for exceptions).
    6. Copy of a valid business license and website URL if one exists

    Property Manager

    Property manager membership available at Tenant Verification Service 1. A minimum of 3 completed and signed rental applications.
    2. A signed list of all apartment complexes and/or properties being managed.  This list must include the apartment/property name and contact name, address and phone number (If you are doing this on behalf of a friend, please click here to see what is required)
    3. Clear copy of your valid driver's license or Passport
    4. Copy of a valid business license (if applicable) and website URL if one exists
    5. Current telephone or cellular bill. MUST be current and list your name, current residence, and the phone number listed on your application (check our FAQs for exceptions).

     

  4. The turnaround time for the reports that you order online is 2-3 minutes and they are posted to your account on the website.
  5. Review the Operating Instructions that you will receive immediately after sign up.
  6. If application or documents are submitted after Office hours, TVS will activate the next business day. Also note that the documents need to show the rental property address and your name (they need to be clear enough so TVS Operators can read them).
    TIP: When photocopying documents, set the photocopier to light, particularly for a Driver's License.
